Frequently asked questions concerning Undergraduate Studies
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The units I obtained during the pre-enlistment period are still incomplete. Do I need to lock my enlistment before the registration period starts?
No. You are not required to lock your enlistment before the registration period, especially if your units are still incomplete. The registration period is intended for students to enlist in courses that they were unable to secure during the pre-enlistment period.
I waitlisted for a course during the general waitlisting period, but there have been no updates (I have neither been granted a slot nor removed from the waitlist). What should I do?
Please wait for further updates. Units process their waitlists according to their own schedules. You may also check the official website or social media pages of the unit offering the course for any announcements or guidelines regarding the processing of waitlists.
How to process Change of Matriculation (CoM or ChangeMat)?
Once you have added the course(s) you wish to enlist and/or canceled the course(s) you need to remove, you must lock your Change of Matriculation (CoM) request in the CoM module in CRS. The entire process, including payment, must be completed on or before the CoM deadline.
How do I cancel an enlisted course?
If you are not yet enrolled, you may either ask your program adviser to cancel the course for you or coordinate directly with the unit offering the course.
If you are already enrolled, only the offering unit can cancel your enlistment.
Please ensure that your enlistment is not locked or that you are already enrolled before requesting a cancellation.
Once I am post-advised, do I need to click the “Wait for Scholarship Tagging” button before proceeding to assessment?
If your primary concern is the free tuition scholarship, you do not need to click this button in order to avail of the free tuition. However, if you need to be tagged for another scholarship prior to assessment, you must click the “Wait for Scholarship Tagging” button.
What is the minimum academic load per semester to be eligible for Latin honors?
A student must complete at least 15 units per semester to be eligible for Latin honors. Please note that any dropped course is deducted from the total number of units enrolled for that semester. For example, if a student initially enrolled in 15 units and later dropped a 3-unit course, the total number of units credited for that semester will be 12 units.
I was unable to secure a required course in my curriculum during the pre-enlistment period. How can I obtain a slot for this course?
Please refer to the enlistment guidelines of the unit offering the course.
If I am tagged as ineligible in CRS, will I still be able to enlist in courses during the enlistment period?
No. You will not be able to enlist in any courses unless your ineligibility has been cleared.
How can I remove my ineligibility tag?
Please coordinate with the Office of the College Secretary to have your ineligibility cleared.
I would like to take courses outside my curriculum. Is this allowed?
This depends on the policies of your home unit. Please consult your program adviser for guidance.
